PHE letter to parents and guardians

We are following the advice and guidance provided by NHS 119 and Public Health England to minimise risk to all and promote high standards of hygiene for both children and adults. You can support your child and school by following the guidance at home as well, including teaching them how to wash their hands thoroughly as described in the guidance and encouraging them to – Catch it, Bin it, Kill it.

If we receive notification of a confirmed case, we will follow expert advice and keep parents informed of any actions that we take, using parentmail and the school website.

In the meantime, it would be very helpful, if you could check that we have your most up to date contact details in school; for example, if you have recently moved or changed your phone number.

The latest information can be found here:

Please be aware of the new changes in law from 14th September 2020 which mean that people of any age can only meet in groups of up to six. This applies indoors, outdoors and in bars and restaurants. It does not apply to workplaces and schools (or to events such as weddings or funerals).
