We had a visit from Michael from  iRock who came in and led assembly for us. Michael played an electric guitar and we sang George Ezra’s ‘Shot Gun’ song together whilst tapping out the beat.

Michael also played the drums and keyboard as well as singing. He was great.

Some of our children then formed a band – Amy on drums, Harry on guitar, Faith on keyboard and Euan on vocals. They performed ‘We Will Rock You’ to the whole school! Just fab-u-lous… we were so proud of them all!

On Tuesday 21st January we were lucky enough to have ‘Night Owls’ visit us. They did an assembly and then we could have our photograph taken with an Owl. It was such fun and we learned lots of fun facts about owls as well.

Thank you Mrs Jones for organising this for us. It was so good…

What a great way to end the year! We had breakfast with Santa, Christmas concerts (which were amazing) and Christmas parties (again with a visit from the man in a red suit).

We also made our own Christmas cards for our families which raised £135 for school fund so thank you for supporting this.

Happy new year!

We were honoured to have soldiers from the Royal Engineers in Brompton join us today to join in with our assembly. The children asked very thoughtful questions and a potentially sensitive subject was managed really well. We always take time at this point in the year to remember people who have helped us in the past and those who help to keep our country safe today. Thank you to Mrs Seales for arranging this and to Sergeant Townsend-Smalley and Corporal Peel for giving up their time

We supported Caring Hands, a local charity and being ‘Harvest heroes’! Thanks to the generous contributions from our parent community we were able to send seven boxes of food to be shared out in the local community.

Our Year 1 and 2 children performed beautifully during their Harvest Assembly to parents and grandparents and the EYFS harvest Stay & Play sessions were well supported. We hope you enjoyed your time in school.

We have had another exciting year here at Crest and wish all of our Year 2 children and their families every happiness for the future. Year 2, you have all been amazing and we will miss each and everyone of you. Good luck in your new schools.
