On Friday 10th November we showed out respect for the many people in the armed and emergency services who help to look after us and keep us safe. We remembered those who died fighting in wars.

Three soldiers from Brompton Barracks in Gillingham came to school for the morning and we were able to ask them lots of questions.

Each class made a memorial wreath which we laid by the flag of the Royal Engineers regiment.

On the last day of term 1 we had a fun day in school. Erik, from SPLATS Circus Skills, demonstrated his juggling talents and taught us lots of tricks. We had a lot of fun but also learned lots about ourselves as learners. We found we had to have resilience and perseverance as well as good humour!

In the afternoon we had a special assembly which was attended by Mr Tranter who was a past Medway mayor along with Mrs Underdown who used to be the headteacher of the school. Lots of other past and present members of staff and members of the governing body attended too.
